I’ve never been one to endorse a particular clothing store because quite frankly, there are so many of them out there these days that you should be able to make your own decisions when it comes to clothes. However, while I was in Las Vegas a few months ago playing a show with my band on our way across the country, we had some free time in the evening before we headed over to the club to set up. As you can imagine, touring around the country yields a lot of unwanted dirt and grime on your clothes. I had only packed about a week’s worth of clean clothing for the three month stint, so by this point, although I’d been washing my things every few days, my clothes were tattered and torn to an unnacceptable point. In our few hours off, I headed over to the Urban Outfitters, which came recommended by the hotel staff, to check out what they had.
Now, I’ve been to quite a few clothing stores in my time, as all of us have, but never have I seen anything like the Urban Outfitters in Las Vegas. In a multi story complex, Urban Outfitters easily has a few thousand feet of store space at its disposal for clothing racks. On top of that, I was able to find plenty of other quirky gifts and gadgets for my friends back home. The prices were a little high compared to the likes of Walmart, but considering the fact that I had to have these new clothes last me another few weeks, I didn’t want something falling apart a few days into wearing it. Oh, and how did the show go? It went really well after I’d found the right new outfit to accompany me.
